About
A little about myself…
Hi, my name is Kodi Gonzaga, and I'm a writer! I've been writing since I was nine years old, but I've been telling stories for even longer—as long as I can remember, actually! Some of my favorite things aside from writing are cats, tea, dark chocolate, molecular biology, singing and music, playing tabletop roleplaying games, reading fantasy fiction, watching funny YouTube videos, and trying to get back into karate. I am genderfluid and mixed race. They/them pronouns please!
I was born in the late 90s and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia with my family. From an early age, I was an avid reader of all kinds of fiction; when I was younger, I would often sit in my room with picture books spread out on the floor and tell myself stories, inspired by the images in front of me and the various media I’d recently seen. When I was around nine or ten, I realized that I could write my stories down, just like the people that wrote the books I’d always loved, and so I began writing—and I never stopped!
I did a lot of theater in high school, both as an actor and a techie, and I was in the creative writing club and tabletop gaming club too. My favorite tabletop games include Kids on Bikes (and its various offshoots), Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, Monster of the Week, Masks, and Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast. I went to Wesleyan University for undergrad and graduated with honors in English and a concentration in Creative Writing.
Currently, I'm living in Los Angeles, CA working a normal 9-5 job and squeezing in as much creativity as I can between work and life. And I have a lot of creative outlets! Fiction writing, TTRPG design, podcast production, clay sculpting, sewing… What can I say? I’ve got a lot of creative juices in my brain!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you like what I create.
